Business & Consulting
We are a consultancy with strong focus on digital sales and marketing processes. Our customers are senior managers and owners (mostly 40+) of medium-sized and large companies, which value our consulting work because of our “hands-on” and customer-focused approach. We help them find the right strategy and competence for building and improving their digital part of the business. An example would be the publishing sector, which is suffering from diminishing sales of paper magazines and books and needs to find alternative online strategies like eBooks. We are in the process of redesigning our Microsoft Office templates, amongst others our standard PowerPoint presentation(s). We have so far worked on the content and also cleaned up the old slides, but we feel our current slides are a bit too grey and we are lacking the "x-factor" when it comes to the design.
Communication We would like our presentations to look elegant, professional and high quality - but not "soulless" or overdesigned. Usability The design should be easy for us to adapt, because we create a lot of tailormade customer presentations with many different flowcharts, models and other charts - meaning it is impossible for us to only stick to certain slide layouts. Background At the moment, we prefer white background, simply because in our business, presentations are often finished off in a hurry and we unfortunately don't always have the time to remove backgrounds of pictures or icons in order to make a colourful background work. Colours In general, we would like our presentations to get a bit more colour, the slides often consist of too many boring grey boxes (please see the attached file for some examples of slides that we often use). Our company colours are white, grey (RGB 71 71 71, we use different shades of this colour for charts etc) and red (RGB 156 11 0). We would be open to an additional colour for highlighting, if you find it necessary or beneficial. We have earlier had some trouble with transparencies and gradient fillings when printing, which we would like to avoid for that matter. Technical stuff We are using MS Office 2016 as a standard in our office. We use both Mac and Windows. We would like the standard page layout 4:3. Other requirements We want our logo and the page number visible on every slide. We need an action title plus a second title to name the chapter. Things we would specifically like you to think about: 1. Text blocks How do we present text blocks - in boxes, on white background or on coloured background? 2. Slide background If you think slides with coloured background would help to achieve a more elegant look - how do we solve the conflict with pasted image material which won't have a removed background? How can we make sure printed presentations look good? 3. Highlighting What is the best way of highlighting certain elements without having to spend great amounts of time on it - and without our presentations looking too much like a rainbow? 4. Font We have earlier worked with a non-standard font which caused us trouble when sending presentations to external people who didn't have our font installed. Due to that we would like to use a standard font from now on. Which standard system font do you suggest? We use big titles as well as small font sizes in charts, so we need a font that will work in all sizes. Also, we need the font to have maximum compatibility between our mac and windows users. We are looking forward to your creative ideas!
