I'm a small business that's trying out my first print ad. I've been working with a writer and we have the layout and everything -- just want an artist to touch it before shipping.
IT types -- but that doesn't matter too much in this case since we're past this stage ;)
'Cleanup' the existing ad (attached).
The dashed lines need to be much thinner (though still plenty visible) more professional and with a half-scissors image at the right hand side of the screenshot.
The screenshot image needs to be sharper, clearer but don't change the colors.
All colors should be CMYK (rather than RGB), supplied as a print-ready SWOP compatible PDF, at 300 dots per inch, fonts embedded.
Add more whoosh or swoosh to the red line around the hand-writing bit.
That handwriting font is "Brian Handwriting", which you probably don't have. Feel free to substitute something very similar (or if you can, extract it from the PDF, it's embedded) Alternatively create the writing as art, as it's a little too thin.
Ensure everything is lined up perfectly and symmetrical - I just threw it together by hand :o)
I mentioned it before but to confirm, the exact size is 7.5 inch by 4.187. No "bleed" is required but please supply both with and without, in case the ad is used elsewhere.
I'd like to make the image larger but we're constrained by space and cannot lose any of the text. However, with those restrictions, feel free to also supply your own interpretation.
Add flair, pop, jazz or whatever - show us what you've got!
Remember, print is far less forgiving than the web - ensure it's going to look great at 300dpi on glossy.
