jassid23 got their new product packaging by running a design contest:
Create an awesome package design for Wizard of Health!
Check out jassid23's Product packaging contest…
Medical & Pharmaceutical
The product, Muscle Wizard, is a self-massage tool designed to apply gentle, pain relieving compression to tight, knotted muscles and trigger points. The product is marketed to mostly consumers, with health and fitness professionals being the secondary market. The market is primarily the wellness and sports market. The following should give you a few links to get an idea about the market: Health and wellness market. Sports injury market Health and wellness competition: Theracane.com back buddy at bodyback.com sports injury market: the stick at www.thestick.com foam rollers at www.tptherapy.com PLEASE NOTE: This is not a 'fitness' product. Please balance out the design with something mid way between fitness and health. If i had to choose from the competitors above, it's more theracane and back buddy than it is 'the stick' or the tptherapy foam rollers. The following avatars should give you a good idea about the range of customers: Avatar 1: 45 year old woman. Works in an office all day. Suffers from chronic low back and neck pain. Needs something to use at work and home to help take care of her sore muscles. She's not particularly fit and has no time for exercises. Avatar 2: Mid 20's to early 30's man or woman. Fit. Participates in sporting activities like Cross Fit, does marathons, rock climbing, etc. They understand the importance of going for regular massage or physical therapy for their muscles. They want something they can use themselves when they're on the road competing in various sporting activities. I selected the 'medical and pharmaceutical' industry but it's a balance with health, physical fitness and sports.
What's your vision?
I would love to have a package designed. I've already picked out the package design shape from my manufacturer. I have attached that in the file. There is one image of a box with dimensions on them, and another that has several different designs. The design we are going with is #9. The package also must be bilingual for Canadian sales. I have enclosed the English and French translation of the words. The thing with bilingual packaging is that the English and French words must be the same size. I have also attached a dropbox link below to get access to the images for the product. If you feel that generic pictures would fit better on prominent parts of the package design, please find sample images that you think would go well there. I can then purchase those images if they work better.
I've attached a few things to help you with your design. Here is a list of things: 99Designs images file from dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jnoq7p1pgy7vi41/tj1m94QQbA Please note: You don't have to use all these images. Again, if you feel generic images would look better on the box, you can put sample images there and i can purchase them for the winning design. Sample box outline. One is of a box with dimensions and the other is #9 from a list of box designs. Translations in english and french. There are two separate files. It shouldn't be too hard to overlap them to know which words are translated. Logo design of the Muscle Wizard. This gives you an idea about the logo. I attached the logo with a black background and a white background. UPC code Thanks guys and good luck!
