Marble Run Lights & Sounds
Description of the product
Marble Run Toys are educational building toys that kids play with that can be made into infinite configurations. We have patented Lights & Sounds pieces as well as other pieces that other companies don't have. We have 30+ different Marble Run Toys. The product for this package is our 75 Piece Marble Run Lights & Sounds
Description of the product target audience
Kids 3+ play with our product. Ideal building age is 6-12 year olds.
GOAL: Design a new package (preferred) OR improve one of our existing designs for our 75 Piece Marble Run Lights & Sounds Set (Lights & Sounds is a first of its kind in our category and a big deal to communicate) We have a suite of products (different sizes/piece counts, pieces types, themes, accessories, etc.) and are looking for a design that will be able to work with numerous themes we will need designed after we select the winner of this package design. These themes include Safari, Space, Jungle, Ocean, Dino, etc. Here is an example of what a marble run looks like to build and play with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-flBVh_Oc0 The winning design will be able to sit on the store shelf of Walmart, Target, or any Independent Toy Store. We have had many designs in the past, but believe we can do a lot better. The winning package design for our 75 Piece Marble Run Lights & Sounds product will be one of the concepts below: 1.) Concept #1 - Brand new design! Full of color and a design that makes it look like the product is jumping out at you and full of fun/action. Similar aesthetics include Lego City, K’nex, among other bright and active toy brands. This concept will highlight our new features including our patent pending Lights & Sounds pieces which is the most innovative. Here’s a video of our lights and sounds pieces: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rf7-Hd6p8Co 2.) Concept #2 - Take one of our 2 existing designs and dramatically improve it. In particular the Fonts/Labels/Titles (e.g. Marble Run Lights & Sounds) and potentially even the layout (e.g. bottom right corner of design #1, window box position?, product image, etc.). Here is a link to all the files that you should need for your design: https://globalfamilybrandsllc.box.com/s/mf1c6sztqo5evnpzo9llgopxdvpw6nka The CONFIDENTIAL files included for you are: #0 - Adobe Illustrator Files - 2 Adobe Illustrator files are in this folder for our existing packaging. All of the components you will need for the project are in these files (UPCs, Pictures, etc.). Don’t feel like you need to use everything that we have included in this design if you have better ideas. Whether you plan to come up with a new design (Concept #1) or improve our existing design (Concept #2), one of these files should be your starting point. #1 - 75 Piece Marble Run Hero Shots - includes the picture that is currently on the front of the box and the .psd file that shows the swooshes. Should you want a different “hero” shot for the front, we believe having some sort of action effect like these swooshes is helpful. #2 - 75 Piece Marble Run Professional Shots - these are additional pictures that you might want to use for the front of the box. If you do, we encourage you to put action effects behind the marbles (like swooshes) and light effect on the lights & sounds piece. The lights & Sounds effect we have used can be found in folder #9 #3 - 75 piece alternate shots - these are back of the box type pictures and examples of the infinite ways we can play with our marble run. If you want us to get professional pictures of other picture layouts because of your design idea, let us know. #4 - Kids holding marbles - you can use any of these pictures of kids holding marbles behind one of the pictures of Marble Runs. #5 - Toy Designs we like - this is a small example of some of the designs that we look at and like. If you feel like a different format will work better, that’s fine as well. #6 - Competitor pics - this shows examples of what other marble run companies have done with their boxes. We really don’t like any of them as they are, but wanted to include if it would be helpful. #7 - Future products - example of the many different themes we are releasing. We want this design to work with the many different themes we will release in the future and plan on collaborating with the winning designer in the near future on these. #8 - Retail Shelves - If you haven’t been to Walmart, Target, or a Toy Store lately, this is what the Toy shelves look like and are important when coming up with a design. #9 - Light Effect - contains a photoshop file of the light effect we currently use on our Lights & Sounds piece in case you decide to use it on a different marble run. #10 - Old design concepts - examples of the many failed designs we have had in the past.
