Impakto was a pleasure to work with - the design was improved and refined over the course of the competition, and all edits were handled quickly and as requested.
Wonderful to work with. Thank you
GMarie78 was amazing to work with from beginning to end! She followed every change I suggested in a very timely manner. She even provided her own ideas in addition to giving me what I requested. Her designs were beautiful from the start! I can't wait to work with her on my next projects!

We liked the originality of the design and the connection with the material provided in our brief.
How cinemakat started their product packaging journey
Like that it's bold, clean, fun, but colors are too natural/neutral for us
Like that it's fun, has bright pops of color - good for the industry
Like the retro fun
Like that it's bold and sells the product
Like that it's colorful, clean, fun, but probably too much white for us
Interesting take on retro design - still very modern, uses two ugly (but good for selling popcorn colors, that happen to be close to our brand colors)
Like that it clearly captures brand and the use case
We have a secondary palette, but I am open to other options as well
- Yellow: Pantone 127C / #F8DB67
- Light Blue: Pantone 2915C / #4FA8DE
- Dark Blue: Pantone 302C / #0B3B60
- Hot Pink: Pantone 1788C / #E9194D
- Purple: Pantone 7649C / #8A1F5E
Prefer a warmer overall color profile for the tub

Description of the product target audience
Primary: Millennials and their families
Secondary: Moviegoers ages 6 - 76
Classic Cinemas locations are all in suburban and small town communities outside Chicago. All though the communities themselves vary from the more urban Oak Park to more rural communities like Sandwich, Illinois, our theatres generally over-index on family movies. We have a fair amount of senior guests as well, but we’re not designing to their tastes. We want to be attractive to millennials in their 20s and 30s without alienating the older or younger generations.
Please see the detailed brief attached. Please do not look at our website as brand inspiration as it needs to be redone. Instead, read the brief and understand the brand guidelines. This is a round tub so think of it as a 360 experience, not so much front and back. I can't decide between modern and retro because we're trying to modernize the brand, but retro could be a good fit. However, it cannot look old or dated - would need to look very much like a modern throwback.
Although we have a color palette and fonts, I am not married to them at all, with the exception that our logo colors are our colors and will not be changed. Please see the brief attached in the file section for additional copy that must be included.
What to avoid
Most theatres use generic packaging, so our bucket needs to stand out and it needs to be clearly branded. Warmer colors are preferred over cooler colors. I can't imagine a successful design using stock imagery, but that doesn't mean it can't be done.
Please note - you do not need to include space for nutritional information, contact information, ingredients, etc. This is not a consumer packaged good - it is just a serving container filled on the spot.
