Description of the product target audience
The primary customer for WIN Baby Detergent is a first time mom who is trying to do everything right for her baby. Most likely she's married in her late 20s or early 30s. Most likely she lives in an urban area or the suburbs near a city. She is affluent enough to consider buying a separate laundry detergent for her baby's clothing. She might not be working while she has a newborn, but she probably worked before she got pregnant and probably intends to go back to work. Most people stop doing a separate laundry for their baby at around 18 months old, so we are targeting moms of newborns to 6-12 months old. If they haven't adopted a special detergent by the time their kid is 12 months old, they probably won't. Most people who already have one or more kids don't bother separating the laundry for the newborn. It's just too much hassle. So really we're focused on new, first time moms.
There will be 4 versions of WIN Baby detergent: 28oz and 56oz, Fragrance free and lightly scented. This contest is for the FRONT label of the 28oz version of the fragrance free WIN Baby Detergent. The contest winner will get the prize from this contest plus will also get an additional 1-1 project for $500 to create: - A matching label for the scented version, with the primary color as a lavender/purple shade. - Front and back / 28 and 56oz / Fragrance free and scented = 8 labels total. So the total award from this project will be about $1,000. Plus there will be additional design work for supporting images on Amazon and on our web site. Please use the attached die line for the exact dimensions of the label. When providing contest submissions, please also provide a mockup of your submission on the blank bottle that I've attached. This product will primarily be sold on Amazon. The look and feel of the label is incredibly important. It has to visually demonstrate that we're a product that you can trust your delicate, sensitive, precious baby's skin with. The graphical themes from the label will be carried into other supporting images that will be part of the product listing, and will also probably be carried into the web site. Please do a search for "baby detergent" on Amazon and see what comes up. Our product has to stand out from those products. The primary color should be a light, lemony yellow. Please be sure to include the WIN logo plus the words "Baby Detergent" in prominent lettering. The label should have a stock photo of a happy baby or a happy mom with her baby. The choice of photo should communicate a baby that is clean, healthy, happy, and well taken care of. The french translation "Détergent Pour Bébés" should appear in smaller print below "Baby Detergent" on the label. This text should also appear prominently: - Fragrance Free, Dye Free, Allergen Free - Removes tough stains and odors - Perfect for sensitive baby skin Please be sure to include the EPA Fragrance Free Safer Choices logo somewhere in the design. It shouldn't be a prominent feature, but it should be present enough to demonstrate that we're a safe product. These items of text are required along the bottom: - 28 Fl Oz (828 ml) - 28 Loads - Made in USA Logo - HE logo - "CAUTION: EYE IRRITANT. See additional cautions on back label"
What to avoid
Avoid small text. The bottle has to make a great visual impression when people search for Baby Detergent and see a bunch of different options come up. Ours has to stand out.
The label die line is a 4.25" wide x 3.50" tall rectangle with rounded corners. Please see the attached PDF.
