What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Business & Consulting
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We deliver positive messages to enhance the world.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We need an inspirational sign that will be located around the grounds at a large fair (rodeo). The sign will be placed on two dozen trash cans around the fair grounds. All other companies who advertise on these trash cans simply put their company logo and contact information. We want to use these signs to inspire people --- to encourage them to focus on the good stuff in their life, and to encourage others to do the same. We use the attached Tell Me Somethin' Good! logo as part of our company, along with #enhancetheconversation. The goal is two-fold --- encourage people who walk past these signs to enhance the conversation of other by sharing the Tell Me Somethin' Good! message, and advertise who is placing the message (www.verbalocity.com).
One, keep in mind that the sign is 8 inches X 16 inches in size, so the overall design needs to be large enough that someone can get the message from a distance. Two, feel free to use any version of the Tell Me Somethin' Good! logo (whichever works best with your design). Three, the sign must include www.verbalocity.com. Four, the design must be horizontal. And five, the design must have a western-themed design (the event where the sign will be displayed is a large rodeo). Please use a western-style font.

And then… they selected a winner!
The first couple of days ing my competition, all of the entries had completely missed the mark. Mixi was the first designer who really understood what I was looking for. And she kept giving me great updated designs throughout the contest. My artist friend who helped me pick the final winner commented that, "she really understands design and balance." I can say for certain that she really went above and beyond on my project and is fantastic designer whom I hope to work with again!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
