Imogen.hoefkens got their new t-shirt by running a design contest:
Cool t-shirt illustration of iconic football goal
Check out Imogen.hoefkens's T-shirt contest…
I really like the modern style of superhero meets comic cartoon that is often used for sports illustrations. See the attached references labelled 'style ref' as the style I'm after. I particularly like the Ronaldo reference where you get a dramatic background of the football stadium.
This is a design for a fashion top so doesn't need any business information on it. However, the name of the brand is 'Long Live Leeds' which could be incorporated into the illustration if seen fit. The logo could also be used small in the corner of the illustration or on the outside, again at the designer's choice. This t-shirt is going to be a product on my website which sells unofficial merchandise for the football team Leeds United. Therefore it needs to not use photography and be conscious of copyright laws. I want the design/illustration to be of the Tony Yeboah wondergoal scored for the team Leeds United in 1995. Attached to the brief are a couple of photos taken of the iconic moment where you see him take the shot. Feel free to explore different angles of this moment but it has to be clear that it is him (for example if you choose to do it as if from behind him, then his name must be on the shirt). I would like the football flying through the air to be in the illustration too.
What to avoid
The colour red is their arc rivals team colours so I would avoid it unless you choose to include the other players from the photos in the illustration. Aka if it's for their kit then it's fine but otherwise, I'd pick alternatives.
