My name is Aleks, the founder and developer behind Gympro. I oversee and co-ordinate most things on the website. My background is mostly web development which is why I wanted to try out 99designs, i've been hearing and seeing some good things.
With this T-shirt we would like to reach personal trainers in particular. Freelance personal trainers to be more exact as they get the biggest benefit out of our website. Initially this T-shirt will be worn at a running event here in Auckland, New Zealand (the event is called Round the Bays). It will be worn by a team of people. This is the biggest reason for getting a T-shirt made up, it's so that the Gympro team looks fly for this event.
I believe in short briefs so I will leave this one quite open as I would love to see a good range of designs.
Here's some important things to note:
- The designs should definitely contain the word gympro and this should be the biggest feature and focus of the whole design. So whether it says "gympro.com" or just "gympro" with the web address underneath it, I'm not too fussed as long as it's visible. There will be a lot of runners at the event so it would be good to have a big design on the back of the shirt and a smaller one on the front. On the front I would settle for just the logo with the web address underneath, just not too big. The back design is the main one.
- The design will go on a black T-shirt for guys and a singlet for ladies.
- I like the splatter effect on T-shirts, maybe combined with a stamp effect for the logo. Something like this http://preview.tinyurl.com/yzvhb4n.
The background should definitely be yellowish, to match the logo. The splatter can be some kind of background, or pattern too, so it doesn't have to be an actual paint splatter eg. images are fine too. There has to be an element of "clean and tidy" on the t-shirt because the website is very tidy.
- To make things more interesting it would be good if there was a slogan somewhere such as - "Witness the Fitness", "All aboard the pain train", "Do it smarter".
Questions are welcome.
