yours2share.com matches like-minded people who want to share valuable assets. We want to redesign of the central section of the main home page as some people find it hard to understand what yours2share can do for them when they first arrive.

Desired Color Scheme:
Any colours or fonts in the existing CSS file (http://www.yours2share.com/css/yours2share.css) as your palette. You may use colours that are close variants of the colours in the existing CCS file, a lighter or darker version of the same tone if necessary.

Desired Style:
The design and location of the header and footer links are fixed. The design of the yours2share logo (just the yours2share name and the "share valuable assets with like-minded people" strapline) is fixed. By Header I mean the yours2share name/logo and st

Accepted File Formats:
html, jpg, gif, css, flash if you feel appropriate

This contest is for the redesign of the central section of the main home page. The winner will be the design that most clearly:
explains the key yours2share concepts
motivates the user to browse, register or explore the site
works alongside the design of the rest of the yours2share site.

Some people find the concepts behind yours2share hard to understand when they first arrive at the web site, particularly at the main home page. You do not need to include all of the information in the sources below, we are looking your view on what information should be included and how it should be presented.

Currently there a home page http://www.yours2share.com/index.shtml and four separate entry pages for specific types of sharing that are being targeted first. These are:

We will alter the four specialist entry pages in line with the new home page once we have a new design.

We started to redesign the home page ourselves http://www.yours2share.com/new.shtml. The key information that we think needs to be in the home page is here http://www.yours2share.com/brief.shtml. Then we realised we really needed some new thinking!

Although I've asked for a coded template, the coding is a lot less important to me than the design. If I get a good design, I can get the html coding done separately, or help the winner to do this.
