Kirill is an amazing designer and he was very patient with us through out the whole project and made sure that he presents exactly what we are looking for. I highly recommend.
great stuff as usual
How Adam Kenyon started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
**NOTE - A full brief pdf document is attached, including a wireframe and links to sources of inspiration**
Crux Investor is a new video / podcast site for those interested in understanding the junior mining world and opportunities to invest. It's purpose is to cut through a lot of the jargon, bias and bluster that is prevalent in this sector and hone-in on the important factors that can indicate whether a company has a strong footing for growth and success.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
Open to ideas really, but the attached logos have some colourways. Ultimately we want the content to "sing" - video stills, infographics, dashboards, tables, and so a design that is classy, sophisticated and yet is the support act would be desirable. A way of laying out the content that complies with UX best practice and yet is distinctive.
We have selected 1 page for now as we need to get the homepage sorted. We would be looking to work with the winning designer one-to-one on all the remaining pages of the site.
Full information on what we would like to see on the homepage (as well as an example wireframe) is in the attached pdf brief.
What to avoid
**NOTE to designers - we are looking for a bespoke unique design and not something easily recognisable as a "theme"***
Designs should try and steer away from using natural resource / mining imagery too heavily as whilst that will be the initial focus of the content, we may look to increase the scope of Crux Investor to other industries in future. Showing more generic investment / financial themes will be fine, but not in a cliche kind of way if possible please.
Also when using stock imagery to complete this design, we appreciate this is diffcult, but we are trying to stay away from cheesy, posed shots of people, or places / themes. We will flag this up as designs come in, but it does make it difficult to see the merits in a design when the stock footage is poor.
We will clearly need a lot of other pages designed in time, and will be looking to work with the winning designer to produce further page templates.
