An MBA or Master of Business Administration is one of the most prestigious degrees of higher learning in the world. Holders of an MBA post-graduate qualification often end up at the top of organisations - for good or for ill! MBAmatch.com is a website which is run by experts in MBA career development. It is an organization which understands the needs of the MBA world and also the psyche of people who aspire to be exceptional in their respective fields. The organization has helped many MBA graduates and students land their ‘dream jobs’ and build their careers more quickly and efficiently by introducing them to employer organisations needing to grow and change in a difficult economic market. "Managing Change - Driving Success" - tagline under (new) logo. ======================= We don't want to be just another Jobs Board and Career Site - rather an online meeting place for Employers and talented MBA qualified executives It is essentially about building an online 'meeting place' between MBAs (students and graduates) and Employers/Recruiters - matching them to each other. Our new logo has contemporised the old handshake graphic and we want to use this to great visual effect - probably in the middle of the homepage (which is the landing page) allowing visitors to click on different sections of the site i.e. for MBAs, for Employers/Recruiters etc. We want something that does NOT look like a typical jobs site - as we are attempting to be much more than just that. Jobs are just one service we offer. Less is more on the main homepage. The next level down will be more content-rich according to the choices the visitor makes. Usual frames around the top and bottom of the page though, for small logo, strapline, graphic, navigational menu (top) and twitter, facebook, Linked Iin feeds at bottom, with usual other collateral.
Wherever possible 2 or 3 main user choices on each page which promote transparency, ease-of-use, and a focused business approach.Less is more!! Colours - black and white background. Then blue (light turquiose - ish), grey and splashes of red to give it a little colour streak To emphasise the brand and the core messages on each webpage, I would only use colour to ‘direct. Thus keep the ‘background simple e.g. black and white just like business attire Only use colour for high impact or news, special benefits, etc. By definition, its ‘rarity’ gives it added strength. This navigational approach should be consistent throughout. Perhaps menus that drop down, with ability to have quick links around the page We will be using a content management system (CMS) to create and publish content e.g. Expression Engine Make it fun – memorable, different, creates a buzz which can be built upon, adapted, twisted I am not suggesting CGI or animation To give dynamism by way of movement as opposed to colour, perhaps have a news-stream/blog from say Bloomberg running along the bottom of each page. This will always be changing and topical/pertinent to business. NOTE - we are in the process of changing our logo to the top one on the attached document (Sheet 1 - colour 3) BUT colour will be dark blue/red/white lettering NOTE 2 - added 7th June - see added pdf for example of colours required - mixture of shades of blue & red on grey, black and white background.
1. Home page - main landing page with graphic in middle 'matching' (radiating off to) 'MBAs' (on left hand side) and 'Employers/Recruiters' (on right hand side). Clicking on these takes you off to the respective content page as below. Standard consistent footers with blog/RSS feeds, Twitter, Facebook & Linked In links. Ability to host video on page. 2. general content page - for pages explaining more about MBAmatch and different services we offer. Ability to incorporate widgets, blog rolls etc. Ability to host video onpage. 3. product catalogue page - for each product or service we sell 4. payment section - we use PayPal currently - and will expand to another payment processor soon 5. Membership page - when candidates or employers log in to database, from where they can search jobs, update CV details in database, change permissions etc.
