Cultivated Culture is a site designed to help people land amazing jobs without applying online.
I am looking to upgrade the design of a specific blog post to make it more user friendly and engaging. Please note that if this design goes well, we will be looking to upgrade more posts in the future. Here is the post for this contest: https://cultivatedculture.com/write-a-resume/ I already have a brand guide which you can find here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zgo8wy-Ode0Pb5KSzQ3OFs3aCP0sJmwc/view?usp=sharing I am looking to adapt the style / design of this blog post to match our existing site aesthetic: https://backlinko.com/content-marketing-this-year Here are things I specifically like about the post (https://backlinko.com/content-marketing-this-year): 1. The post starts with an introduction and a visually engaging graphic 2. How the post leads into a Table of Contents that has bright, eye catching graphic icons for each section / chapter 3. Each section / chapter is broken into color-blocked sections with their own mini-themes so that it's easy to know when you're in the same section and when a new section starts 4. How data in the post is represented in graphics that are easy to consume and match the site aesthetic, here's an example: https://mk0apibacklinkov1r5n.kinstacdn.com/app/uploads/2020/01/2-time-to-first-byte.png
I would like a design that includes: 1. An introductory section / "above the fold" section that incorporates an existing image or has an engaging graphic based on an existing image (since this post is about writing a resume, it could be graphics of a resume based on the images we have in the post). 2. A Table of Contents for each section / chapter along with a graphic that matches each. The sections are: + Chapter 1: Why Writing A Good Resume Is So Hard To Do + Chapter 2: Avoiding Resume Mistakes That 95% Of People Make + Chapter 3: The Elements Of A Resume That Will Get You Hired + Chapter 4: Resume Fundamentals: Formats, Fonts, & Pairing With A Cover Letter + Chapter 5: Where To Find The Best Free Resume Templates & Resources 3. For each of the Chapters above, I'd like to have a color-blocked section header like you see in this article (https://backlinko.com/content-marketing-this-year) as well as a "mini-theme" for each section. So if one Chapter has a blue section background, the elements of the graphics, icons, images, etc. should match that color and theme. This way it's easy for users to see when they've transitioned to a new section. 4. For all of the above, it would be great to get some illustrations. I understand that illustrations are time consuming so I don't expect 100% of them to be included in the price, but it would be good to get examples of 3 types: A) An illustration for each Chapter / Section header B) An illustration of the graphic icons we use in the table of contents C) A graphic showcasing some of the data / findings we share in the post As for imaging, there are many images in the post that you can draw inspiration from. I'm happy to provide more if you need!
