Games & Recreational
An online gaming website that supports desktop and mobile browsers. Targets casual game players that like a variety of quick to play games. Some games support high scores.
- Simple - Casual / friendly colors, this isn't a gamesite for more hardcore gamers. - Easy to view on mobile and desktop (no tiny hard to see icons/buttons) - not lots of text - Lighter color combos - Not cramped (leave some space to breath) - Don't go overkill on graphical bling. - rounded corners.
The main page should contain the elements I've displayed at the website url given. Please note: The website I've listed as the existing website is not actually live. I'm currently just working on the layout and code of the website for when I get the real design done, so please don't think those are the colors to use, etc... Please view the site and try it out. The site is not finished so some things don't work or don't work as expected. I like the general layout of what I have, but it is not set in stone. Please don't go to far off from what I have though. The main page should have the general flow of header, content, footer. Header: - Sites logo - Register / Login text - Facebook connect button - Google+ Sign-in button - Social liking/sharing features for the main site as a whole - Search Bar - Category button (opens a dialog box that pops up in the middle of the screen) The header items do not have to all be contained on one horizontal line. It could be spread out between multiple rows. Content: The featured section: The Game Pad and Trophy are pressable buttons. The Game Pad allows the user to view info about a few featured games. The Trophy will show the user the latest high score information. Below the featured section is where the games will be listed. I would like to keep the icons large so they are easy to view. Not a lot of text descriptions, just the game name is good and possibly the games rating. There should also be sorting buttons and a category text header. There should be navigation elements to go through the pages of the games. I also want a place to put social sharing icons, not sure where though. Footer: Generic information that is contained within most sites, contact, etc...
What to avoid
Busyness where everything becomes a jumble and hard to see.
The logo on the site is not the real logo, it's just something I threw together for testing so don't base the design colors or anything else off of that.
