Rohit.manohar got their new web page design by running a design contest:
MadGigs needs a new website design
Check out Rohit.manohar's Web page design contest…
Madgigs is a platform that awards tech professionals. This is done so by allowing the techies to send out "rating requests" to all their previous managers. The results from all these various ratings are collated and the users are ranked for each of their skills on leaderboards. The leaderboards reflect the competition and position of each player for various skillsets. We strongly suggest that you review our existing site and go through our video to understand the gravity of what we are asking you to create. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JKudQZdSl4&feature=youtu.befeature=youtu.be
Launchrock.com templates, twitter bootstrap interfaces, full-screen backgrounds. Web2.0 styles.
Since we are closing in on a site launch date before christmas, We are looking at revamping our existing launch page and post login page similar to templates from launch rock(http://www.launchrock.com). We would like to use twitter bootstrap for html5 and css3, Do keep that in mind for compatibility. 1. Launch Page (http://www.madgigs.com) The page should reflect the color theme of the madgigs logo and must contain visual cues with images and text to encourage the user participate in the leaderboards and win an award with the techyaward platform. Possibly reduce the running text on the existing landing page and replace it with simpler and more visually attractive images or icons. Do look at various launch rock templates that are typical with large full-screen background images, Im envisioning something along these lines with full screen backgrounds with rounded interfaces. The only elements that are to be retained from the existing page are the login form, countdown timer and links. We can do without the search features for now. 2. Post Login Page Once the user logs in, ideally the user does not have a profile, rating or a leaderboard ranking. We want to use visual cues to encourage the user to start building his profile and start sending out rating requests. We need this to be asthetic similar to the launch page but it cannot confuse the user at any cost. The user must be able naturally understand that he needs to participate in the leaderboard game and he start doing so by building his profile and then sending out rating requests. We are only looking to simplify what we already have and tone down the aspects of the site that are specific to the launch. Getting users to register, build a profile and send out rating requests are what we have in mind for now. We will be glad to clarify any questions.
