Designer was extremely patient with us as we took extra time to comment, request edits, and select a final design. Followed the brief and paid attention to our specific requirements. The final design was absolutely amazing! We will definitely work with them again!
Great work, will work with again
How kvictorian started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Village Plumbing & Air
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a home service company offering residential plumbing, air conditioning and appliance repair services in the Houston area (we also have a kitchen & bath showroom). Our target audience is a homeowner over the age of 45 with a home value of $250k+. We are woman owned, she is also a Master Plumber and this is a large part of what we are known for. We are also locally/family owned. The largest part of the business is plumbing, then air conditioning, then farther behind is appliance repair and our Kitchen and Bath Showroom where we sell fixtures, tubs, toilets etc. We have been in business since 1946 and in the last 5-6 years we have really focused on marketing and are growing (we have more than doubled in size).
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
I will upload our style guide with colors / fonts. I really like clean design but our colors are bright so it can also be fun. Main colors are the blue and yellow and the orange/red is used minimally for pops of color if needed. We are using the beaver builder plugin with our website theme so we also don't want design that requires a lot of specialty coding.
Homepage: a section for each service line (plumbing, air conditioning, appliance repair, kitchen & bath showroom). Phone number to request service, form to request service, request service button(s) on each page. Caricature of owner (Monica) provided in documents - doesn't have to be full body. Home page should immediately tell customers what services we provide and how to get ahold of us.
Showroom page: Need hours listed predominately (which are different from our service hours, customers are always getting confused when they can come in and shop). Our Kitchen and Bath showroom page should almost be like it's own homepage. This is a separate part of the business and is more of a retail set up which is a WANT vs. the service side which is mostly a NEED. This page should feature brands. At this time customers can't shop online and this would be a ways off if we add it but I'm not opposed to having this section set up like a shop - we just wont include pricing or a checkout at this time. We can feature brands such as Kohler and Aqua Brass.
What to avoid
We are mainly a plumbing company but we don't want any pictures of the cliche plumber holding a plunger. We like more lifestyle imagery (happy people in their kitchens, living comfortably in their home)
Being in the service business there is lots of competition. Trust is huge in our line of business because we go into people's homes so the design needs to feel friendly, trust worthy.
