We'd like to take this concept: http://www.inorout2010.com/ & turn it into a more interactive map based on the results of the oath. Something similar to the 2008 campaign maps: http://elections.nytimes.com/2008/r…t/map.html
We're planning on building the site in WordPress, but more or less here are our thoughts so far:
1. The map needs to be the center focus of the design. The map will need to show the states that are 'In' or 'Out' or still undecided. This will be determined by the results from Congress for each state (most likely another page after the majority have responded to the oath.) After clicking on a state, users would be taken to that states page, with more information about their congress & the choice on the oath.
2. As mentioned this will be built in WordPress, so we'll want to have a section to include blog posts.
3. We will be doing some advertising on this site & will need a location for an AdSense block as well as an Amazon widget.
4. Incorporated into the design we'd like to have the "Oath" & Glenn's video explaining the campaign.
We are looking for a quick turnaround time on this project & will most likely be awarding the winning design before it finishes. After viewing the first few designs I plan on Guaranteeing the contest.
