Accounting & Financial
We make iBank. The best personal financial manager for Mac and iOS. iBank helps you control spending, build savings and plan for your financial future.
Clean and crisp. Special attention to typography mixed with clean icons and images. I particularly like icons that are more abstract made of clean lines, then photo-realistic icons. The use of stock photography is a bit of a double edged sword for me, which I think boils down to, I'm OK with it used sparsely or perhaps once on the homepage.
Homepage -- main landing page pitching iBank as a great personal finance app. The top section will ideally indicate immediately what platforms our app supports (iPhone, iPad and Mac). You can then use long scrolling to show: 3 big things iBank will do for you (control spending, build savings, plan for the future), After that we can show customer/review quotes and after that, awards and prominent placements. After that, other things about our products people might be interested in learning about, e.g. Cloud Sync, Bank Connectivity, Security and Privacy. Product page -- product page for one of our apps, e.g. iBank 5 for Mac Must be easy for customer to Buy, Download or View on Mac App Store and it should outline why iBank will help them (you can use copy from existing site if you want). It should also show a sub-navigation bar, or some way to navigate the sub pages under the product. Support page -- look at our current site (www.iggsoftware.com/support) where we funnel people from FAQ > Search Tech Articles > LiveChat > Email About page -- a page that says what our company and culture is about Blog page -- we host our Developers' Blog on our site. I'd love to see a design that allows users to see past blog posts more easily
What to avoid
We want a professional and trustworthy look, more than cute or whimsical. Nothing that prohibits adaptive design.
When we code this we plan on using adaptive design for desktop and mobile. The attached logo doesn't need to be that color, but we also aren't against keeping it that color.
