Pipers by the Lake is a leading Restaurant / cafe and function centre located in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. We serve over 50,000 guests per year and are housed in an historic old building which is located on the shores of Lake Wendouree and directly across the road from the Ballarat Botanical Gardens. Our location and setting is what makes our restaurant so popular with locals and tourists alike.

We are a multi purpose venue that is a popular reception venue for weddings and other high level functions and also a very busy restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and coffee and cake seven days a week.

We are quite unique in that we can be serving early morning joggers for breakfast and then that night catering for a high class wedding reception.

We have a couple of distinct markets.

1. Weddings - people searching for wedding reception venues. We cater for up to 40 wedding receptions per year
2. Functions - people looking for a function venue for milestone birthdays, corporate events, etc.
3. Restaurant - we cater to a very wide range of people in our restaurant including locals and many tourists. We are classy but definitely not high end. We are more a cafe in many ways than a restaurant although we like to promote ourselves as a restaurant

We have a current site http://www.pipersbythelake.com.au which we require to be redesigned. The site has served its purpose for the moment however we need to move it to the next level. The content of the site will remain similar with some additions. Your design will be used as the basis for a new site.

The site requires the following primary areas of the business to be promoted;

The site needs to reflect our business and our location. We are not a high class establishment however we are distinctive. Our services range from coffee and cake right through to a wedding reception.

Layout, colour and design is up to you. We need to break away from the current design so something completely new.

This site is not easy to manage from a content management point of view, it is too inflexible. I also want to break away from the current shape, etc. In general I want a complete redesign so all the old site will offer you is some images and content.
