The mockup above is just a preliminary outline, it only shows that which is visible without scrolling.
Our ideal customer is a professional, the spouse of a professional, or a business owner. they generally have above average education and income. their ages vary from early adult to elderly.
Either the designer has to implement a fluid design or he has to stick to 1024x768 as the resolution or the resolution which you know is most popular in your area. But remember that your picture along with the benefit and guarantee story should be above the fold so that give us roughly 600 pixels height (aka the fold). The main benefits, your picture, the guarantee, and the "book now" button should all appear above the fold.
See what I've done with the attached. Also no sliders or anything. Just one image with the benefits clearly spelt out and a big ass button that will lead them to the booking page.
I like sample 2 because it really removes the distraction of the menu. They can either call or click the booking button. Those who are picky will scroll lower to find a specific service. Internal pages can switch to a standard menu.
This maybe a bit more expensive to do but ask the designer to come up with a mockup based on what we've given him so far. This conversion oriented design is probably something he is not used to and so he may be having a hard time wrapping his head around it. Once we see the mockup we can then further refine it till we get it right.
