atomiks got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Webpage Design Update (web 2.0 redesign, improve graphics)
Check out atomiks's Web page design contest…
Web 2.0 style graphical update with professional yet innovative feel of this site: http://www.mpd.northwestern.edu/ Recommended but optional -- same general idea of page, same (general) colors. I require solid templates (or ideally a few templates for some of the individual sub pages). The redesigned page should include places for the information that currently exists on the site.
Master of Product Development (MPD), Northwestern University, McCormick School of Engineering
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: Generally same color scheme as now, but not required Desired Style: Web 2.0 style graphical update with professional yet innovative feel. Accepted File Formats: PSD, PNG **EXTENDED TIME TO ALLOW FOR CHANGES, BUT EARLY SUBMISSION STILL ENCOURAGED, THANKS!** ADDED TIME AS MEETING HAD TO BE DELAYED REGARDING THIS. THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE SUBMITTED. GREAT WORK EVERYONE. Background Info: The program focuses on product development, so the design should be style-forward and progressive/innovative, while still professional. The "MPD" logo seen behind the page (and also at the top right...twice...) should still be used in the page, as should the McCormick and Northwestern logos. Goal: I'm hoping to update the general 'look and feel' of this site, with a fairly generous degree of creative license. The goal is something more "web 2.0" savvy (hate to be cliche), perhaps 3d-ish, and generally more aesthetically pleasing. The sections can all be reconfigured, if necessary...but the same general information should still be able to exist. A reduction of visual clutter is also ideal. All possibilities will be considered, so let your creative juices run wild. It should be easy to access the text-based information on the site and the site's design should be at least somewhat relevant to the information on the site. If you need specific individual graphic files, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org and I can see what I can do to find the specific files, but otherwise use whatever you can.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Web page design starts at $799.
