New website design wanted for SmallStreetUSA

We are a crowdfunding platform, education, and social media site. Our mission is to change how neighbors invest, building the life and community they want and the high quality investment opportunities they deserve.

Utilizing the red, white and blue logo (attached) it should be clean, easy to navigate, and visually appealing.

Initially, the homepage introduces SmallStreetUSA and the concept of equity-based crowdfunding. It will provide education videos, whitepapers, and news articles about this new investment vehicle. It will be the stepping stone to an eventual crowdfunding investments platform (large application) and highlight successes in crowdfund investing.

Can't be too busy

There needs to be both a professional look and an emotional appeal to the "common" man who has never invested his dollars before so the design needs to be "non-intimidating" and easily understandable. There will be quite a few links to education video and papers so a way to highlight those without clutter would be ideal.
