We provide express, LTL and logistics services to B2B customers. Our current website looks and feels like it was designed by an IT group. We want to design that is crisp, eye catching but not complicated. Something that is simple but attractive. We have put examples of Purolator, FedEx and Coyote software. Currently our site has great functionality...now we want it to look as good as it works. We are also looking for the designer to create a page for our Intranet site. Much like our internet site, we want a crisp look and feel BUT we want the Intranet site to look different enough yet seem like its part of the product suite.
user centric design - simple but aesthetically pleasing. We want it to be crisp and concise - not flashy but to the point. We love our logo and the look of our marketing materials. We want our website to be just as slick and pleasing to the eye.
Landing Page - need to change the existing - it says we are a new company. I want a one pager that is above the fold that allows us to convey the Express, Freight and Logistics aspects of our business. Simple and concise but draws the viewer in to the rest of the site. Next is a home page. It should conform to our landing page but be setup in a manner that reflects the style we are looking for. We are doing the Intranet site in phases. We will always want news on the home page which will be in phase I. We will also want executive blogs and job posting phase I. Home page for our Intranet site. This should look like our website page but different enough to show our audience its a different site/application for internal use only.
What to avoid
please replicate our existing sites colours. Stay away from anything too elaborate Try to avoid going below the fold on the home page or splash page do not redesign our logo
