How Paradigm Digital started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Paradigm Media Consultants - an advertising agency for private career college is doing a redesign for SCTrain.edu. We are overloaded right now with projects so farming out the design of this site that already has a strong design direction mimicking another site. We provide good feedback and direction. We will do the programming internally after receiving .psd files.

Sullivan & Cogliano is a nationally accredited career training school with campuses in Miami and approved for online programs all across the country in multiple states. They offer career training in Medical Office, Information Technology and Office Professional Programs
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
Need to provide in .psd files. Already have a strong design direction based on another website. We want it to look nothing like the existing site…though it still needs to be strong lead generating site. Clients dislikes are: Looks blocky, too much copy or narrative to read, boring. Too much green and they will be changing their name at the end of the year so they don't want to rely on an overly green site. Current name is still Sullivan & Cogliano for rest of 2014.
Home Page - Strong horizontal photo, Menu bar towards top, one phone # towards top 888-872-4677 (no reason for multiple locations/#s), a little bit more of a branded/graphic feel, short paragraphs w/ "learn more" buttons, employer logos towards bottom of home page. Client would also like to provide LIVE CHAT option.
Inside sidebar page - client likes horizontal photo across every page, likes sidebar with programs listed for easy viewing, but need to have the form up in sidebar, whether that's left or right side, preferably above programs. Client like having 2 photo testimonials on page below copy.
What to avoid
Home page is too long, below the fold. Lead form needs to be up on a left or right sidebar or box above fold. Home page needs to adhere to some basic lead generation practices. See sidebar on current site for fields required. Also must have disclaimer at bottom, within lead form box. Social icons do not need to be at top of home page but more towards bottom. Our goal is for them to fill out lead form box, not leave the site and go to social media. We will send an auto response to them after filling out lead form box inviting them to go checkout our social sites after the fact.
Direction on this is really laid out to be similar to Career Quest site since they like it so much. See what you can do to retain many of those features while putting your own spin on the design…without getting too far away from CQLC since they like it so strongly.

Client is REALLY liking the color orange. I have a feeling their new name/logo at the end of the year might also contain this color and probably will not have green anymore. A landing page that we just got done developing "just happened" to have orange prior to knowing the client liked this, so will attach a copy of that landing page (even though we are still working on it). I would use green only as an accent color that we will be able to change in the future once a new logo is done.
Will also attach a couple SC logos for your use.
